THE inlingua METHOD

Because the language is conveyed and learnt by means of speaking, inevitably one factor in determining the success of the inlingua Method is that the course is given exclusively in the target language. Through dialogue the trainer is in constant rapport with the trainee, stimulating their speech and encouraging their ability to understand and participate more fully. Without neglecting grammatical concerns, the teaching is principally oriented towards conversation, the better to deliver both the active and passive skills and abilities necessary for effective communication and successful interaction in a variety of contexts.

The inlingua Method is the fruit of decades of practical experience, and is constantly reviewed and refined by the Pedagogical Directorate in Bern. The course meets applied technical didactic standards, using purpose-built materials targeted at the different learning levels recognised all over the world.
Priority is given to practical, applied language use rather than purely theoretical concerns. We regularly review the knowledge-base of participants the better to monitor and take into account the progress and individual requirements of each client.
